Rev. Sue Holland, PastorPastor Sue began her call as solo pastor at Coastside Lutheran in January of 2021 after serving as associate pastor at CLC for two years. She was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in 2019 in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Pastor Sue holds a Masters of Divinity degree from Duke Divinity School in Durham, North Carolina and a Masters of Sacred Theology from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, South Carolina.
Prior to entering the ministry, Pastor Sue spent 20 years working as an engineer, manager and project manager at a computer technology firm in New York and North Carolina. She holds a Masters of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. Pastor Sue and her husband, Bill, have two sons who both live on the east coast. Steven is in graduate school and Sam is an undergrad. Sue and Bill both enjoy bird watching and spending time in nature. |
John Lehrack, Music Director
John Lehrack has been active as a church music director since 1989. He has served many churches and denominations in the Bay Area, Hawai’i and the Greater Seattle Area, including ELCA, UMC, UCC, Presbyterian Church USA, DoC, UFMCC, and Episcopal congregations. His music ministry has included playing piano and organ for nearly every church, directing choirs and leading praise bands. He’s even been known to preach now and then and loves Taize-style worship. John values music of all eras and tries to choose music appropriate to each congregation that reflects the scripture of the day. In addition to church work, John has been a full and adjunct professor at a half dozen colleges, worked with many musical theatre companies, and is an active performer. His favorite performance genre is cabaret but he has also performed as a soloist with the Solano Symphony and in lead roles with San Francisco City Summer Opera, San Francisco Cabaret Opera and more. Currently, he is the Event Production Manager for the San Francisco Lesbian/Gay Freedom Band and teaches piano and voice in San Francisco and Half Moon Bay. John is a published composer and arranger and will soon release his solo album: Contemplative Spirituals for Solo Piano. A resident of San Francisco, he currently resides on Twin Peaks with his cat, Lilo. Tami Schubert, Office Manager
Tami came to CLC in February 2021. She has an extensive background in Office Administration, Accounting, Contracts and much more, with expertise in the world of office management. She worked for Lockheed for 10 years and for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan for 16 years. She sailed the Mexican waters for a year and a half on her 54' ketch. After her husband's sudden death, she returned to the US and moved to the coastside with her good friend and our late Kay Burns. She worked for a local lighting startup company as Director of Finance for six years and successfully helped maneuver their acquisition. Aside from working for CLC she also works for a local Podiatrist in his office and has a client for which she helps manage all their expenses. |
