Blessed to be a blessing....

Now God said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Gen 12:2 12)

God blesses us in so many ways. Sometimes those blessings come in the form of financial or material resources. Many times, God blesses us with other gifts such as family andfriends; talents and abilities; expertise and proficiencies; interests and passions; and personality traits such as compassion and patience. Take a moment to consider all the ways that God has blessed you:

Just as God blessed Abram, his family and his offspring so as to be a blessing to all the families of the earth, God also blesses us as individuals and as a congregation to bless our neighbors.
