We find ourselves on a precipice 
with a magnificent panoramic view 
laid before us, 
all things visible, 
seen and unseen, 
predictable unpredictability, 
certain uncertainty  
And we open our eyes anew.


We stand perched on the ridge 
in awesome wonder 
of a remarkable landscape 
Of rocky terrain 
where we stumble, fall, and climb again
Effortless topography 
punctuated by slippery slopes


Oceans of hope in which to bathe
Majestic trees 
that draw our eyes up 
towards the heavens
And pull our chests up 
and out and vulnerable
A flamboyant fusion 
of darkness and light 
bursting
With the possibility 
of JOY.


Then we surrender...


and step off…. ​
